My story with this picture comes from childhood. When I was 5 years old, a
portrait of Mona Lisa appeared in our house, no one knows how. No one remembers
who brought it, and how it ended up on the wall in the room. As I remember now, it
was on a wooden base, painted and varnished, a very high-quality copy according to
my memories. She could also look at the viewer from different angles, left or right,
she always looks only at you. She impressed me, I could stand next to her for a long
time, my house was a separate Louvre, in which no one rushed me to see her. Years
later, the painting left as unknown as it came to our house. No one remembers
exactly how she came, no one remembers exactly how she left, but the memories
remain. Under these memories and impressions, I wanted to depict her, but in
brighter and more saturated colors, in an unconventional and unique way, but at the
same time preserving her image and silhouettes so that she was recognizable. I
ordered high-quality Italian canvas in custom sizes like the original 53×77 cm.
