I am Alessandra Santo Stefano and Umunnu is my essence.
Umunnu: the world, in Sicilian.
My origins: the sea, the journey, a sweet memory but also a hope for the future of
all of us.
From the desire to create something that reminded me of my land, the one where I played from
baby, in that age when everyone gets mixed up and dirty, Umunnu was born.
I gave these works all my knowledge of raw materials and how
working them, which I have accumulated in a varied and intense artistic path along a lifetime, in which I have experimented with materials and techniques of all kinds.
