Andres Retamero

Self-taught training. Member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), he has illustrated Cuban and foreign books and periodicals, such as the Centroamericana de Arte Magazine “Decenio Cultural”, illustrations for the book You are All Invited, by Juan Carlos García Guridi, cover of the book “The agony of the flying fish” by Emilio Comas Paret, cover of the book by Josué Pérez “In the vulnerable depth”, Félix Pita Rodríguez and AHS award; interiors for Omar Felipe Mauri’s book “Leyendas del Mayabeque”, as well as other magazines and publications. His works are found in private collections in Italy, the United States, France, Spain, Germany, England, Puerto Rico and other countries.
A constant in Retamero’s proposal are the exchanges between the familiarly distant or the closely remote. Naming things is not the least important. This neither contributes nor takes away anything from a proposal where appropriations are hidden.

Formación Autodidacta. Miembro de la Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC), ha ilustrado libros y publicaciones periódicas cubanas y extranjeras, como Revista Centroamericana de Arte “Decenio Cultural”, ilustraciones para el libro Están todos invitados, de Juan Carlos García guridi, portada del libro “La agonía del pez volador” de Emilio Comas Paret, portada del libro de Josué Pérez “En el fondo vulnerable”, premio Félix Pita Rodríguez y de la AHS; interiores para el libro de Omar Felipe Mauri “Leyendas del Mayabeque”, así como otras revistas y publicaciones. Obras suyas se encuentran en colecciones privadas de Italia, Estados Unidos, Francia, España, Alemania, Inglater.
