Marco Michelini was born on 15th March 1962 in Sant’Ippolito (Italy), where he still lives.
Second of nine children, he passed the first twenty years of his life helping his father maintaining the family.
At the age of fifteen Uncle Livio, parson of Sant’Ipplito, has the shining idea to give Marco a “Zenith” camera. It’s a turning point, a really precious present that brought out Marco’s power of observation.
Thanks to his work Marco travelled a lot around the world and during his journeys he could admire a lot of different countries and thanks to them he found a valuable source of inspiration. So now we have wonderful pictures of Thailand, Greece, Chile, China, United States of America, Malaysia, Turkey, Poland and the Central African Republic.
At the age of twenty years old he began collaborating with publishing house AVE of Rome, being in charge of pictures for catholic periodicals (“Azione Cattolica Italiana”).
Afterwards he cooperated with his pictures with publishing house ELI, that is famous particulary for its strip cartoons in latin.
He also worked with the photographer Paolo del Bianco.
He is still cooperating with many photograph studios among which “A2 Photo Studios” of Fossombrone.
In 2004 he exhibited some of his pictures in ”Paper Mill Playhouse “ (Millburn , New Jersey) and he met with big success.
The pursuit of “the beautiful things” and of the most curious details never ends and thanks to wonderful italian landscape and to his five children Marco has a infinite source of inspiration, that is even always new.
