Real and spiritual. But also human and dystopian. These are the dichotomies on which my inspiration moves. Each work is animated by these oscillations, which persist in investigating the theme of the extraneousness of humans with respect to their reality.
After the graduation in foreign languages and literature with an artistic focus at Ca’ Foscari, I worked in the design sector in Venice, re-editing Eileen Gray’s furniture and Sonia Delaunay’s designs for clothes and carpets.
My working career continued first in Milan at the editorial office of L’Uomo Vogue, where my passion for the great fashion photographers and for writing was born, then in the communication and marketing sector where for many years I worked as copy writer and then as art director.
In 2012 I published the novel “Lorna, move on”, a noir focused on the world of advertising and small and medium-sized Italian companies.
I designed silk dresses for Vivian&me from 2016 to 2019, the year in which I started teaching English language and literature in high schools.
The dedication to the kids, the school, still involves me very much today and I believe it will be very present in the near future too.
My life has been characterized by travel, unforgettable meetings with gallery owners like Lia Rumma and artists like Louise Bourgeois, frequenting the most prestigious museums in the world, long stays in Switzerland and the United States, my family, my passion for art and beauty in all its forms.
As an artist for a year now I have been totally focused on sculpture. I am very grateful to life for this fantastic gift that allows me to interpret reality in a new way, provoke thoughts, contribute (I hope) to forming a conscience that leads people to act for the good of all.
The most recent art exhibition in which I participated is MIXING IDENTITIES Rome International Art Fair, 17-27 July 2023, curated by Luca Curci – Medina Art Galleries Rome, via Angelo Poliziano 18.
Last August 21st the ARTE LAGUNA PRIZE contest dedicated a special to me as an artistonview on all social media.
There are several projects underway and scheduled for the coming months.
