Born in Caracas in 1951, Venezuela, Raffella Corcione Sandoval of Campania origins, today lives and works in Rome. Her artistic vocation blossomed and she was trained at a very young age at the Sancho Art School in Caracas.

In Italy she was a pupil of the artist Novella Parigini and of the Maestro Prof. Emilio Maria Avitabile. She studied at the Sacred Heart Institute of Naples, has been an Academician of the Pontificia Academia Tiberina in Rome since 2009 and an Honorary Member of the Arsgravis Arte y Simbolismo Academy of Barcelona, ​​Spain; she attended the three-year theological specialization at the Jesuit Faculty of Theology in Naples 1985/7, she visited India for 30 years studying Buddhist and Hindu philosophical thought. He achieved the

Qualification as Advertising Graphic Designer in Naples and as Stylist at the Fashion Academy in Rome.

A nationally and internationally known artist, she has exhibited in Switzerland, the United States, Germany, Spain, China, Arabia and in numerous exhibitions in every part of Italy. His works have been exhibited in various galleries and museums.

She made her name on the contemporary art scene to the general public in 2005 with her sculpture «Sindone Partenopea», in plaster cast and crystallized fabric, a technique of her own invention, also exhibited during the great IL Velo Exhibition, at the Filatoio di Caraglio Turin 2006/7 with the biggest names in art. Her works are part of private collections around the world.

Raffaella Corcione Sandoval refuses any type of formal categorization and makes use of multiple expressive forms, from painting to photography, from video to performance, to prose, always using new and original techniques.
