At the age of 12 my father gave me an easel, a canvas, some brushes and colors for my birthday. At school I was good at drawing and he wanted to encourage this passion of mine. He didn’t allow me to attend the artistic school because having the offices near the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, he was scared by the style of the students and the environment in general, we’re talking about the 70s.
But despite attending the IT technical institute I didn’t I never stopped frequenting his environment because paradoxically a dear friend of his taught art.
My closest friends attended the Art School and that’s how I learned techniques, the nude which I was particularly passionate about, charcoal, light and shadows. I continued to paint figures for years but at a certain point my works led to abstract figurative art. I thought it was more complicated and therefore it was a challenge every time. I have always found time to paint, I have never stopped, but I never thought of doing it as a profession, I never even hoped, but I was happy to give my works to friends and relatives.
Holistic studies have once again revolutionized my painting. I signed up to the amateur artists group, participated in group shows and held my first solo exhibition at the Ghibellino palace.

The president, in his opening speech, said: “its flows of color seem like new beings born in the mind, they explode, swirl, fade and overlap. She conceives the painting with love that will make it discover wonderful.

Imma Pegazzani makes us discover that it is not a distant world but actually within us, that Soul indicated in the title, “Soul in colours”. But it’s not just this, the holistic studies and the master’s degree in mindfulness have allowed me to approach Feng Shui, an ancient oriental discipline that regulates the energy flow in homes and workplaces. Thanks to these intermediate alchemical practices, I can discover the precise position of the energy center, capture the inhibited sphere and make it shine with targeted colors, harmony and love.

This opens the door to fusion work with the 5 elements, a more refined step in Taoist internal work. It is incredible how much a single painting can, with gratitude and harmony, not only be a source of decoration but also a source of healing. It is a continuous challenge, being able to capture the imagined energy and fix it on the canvas, but the result is always a great unexpected victory.
