Hi, I’m Salvatore Vessella Stage name Salvo Vex

I am 62 years old and live in Tortona AL Italy

Already as a child I was attracted to the arts; when I was 11 I did mine first oil painting at 14 I enrolled in the state art high school of Genoa.

In 2000 I did one specialization in technology of wall color and frescoes at Alessandra’s construction school Figurative art.

For me is always was a search for new figurations. My reference teachers are Artists who created an art timeless from prehistory to modern classic and postmodern.

Contemporary art, abstract, new figurations are the works I prefer most. I find that these artists are freer and say more without taking anything away from the great masters of the past that we all know, but linked to religious representations and the powerful of the past.

My work is based on combinations of circles, vertical lines, orrizon= such triangular shapes, a freedom of composition which recalls the jumps of musical scales like jazz musicians, music in fact helps me a lot in concentration when I work.

My approach is empty and blank canvas most of the time born on the spot without a plan I cancel the rational mind to enter the irrational and as in trans I begin to make the first marks on the canvas.
